Help! Blue Screen Issues After Recent Update KB5074109

Hey everyone! We're in a tough spot here because our company's setup just got hit by the KB5074109 update, and it caused hundreds of machines to go into a blue/black screen of death. We've been dealing with this for over a day now, and it's really impacting our productivity.

We've tried a bunch of things: resetting the machines (but that hasn't worked consistently), restoring points (which might or might not be effective), uninstalling quality updates, and running several commands in the command line. We even reached out to Dell support, but they told us it's a software issue, so they're unable to help us. Microsoft support hasn't responded either.

My main questions are:
1. Is there a reliable way to fix this? We have hundreds of systems affected, with some impacted and others fine. We've already exhausted many options and are feeling pretty lost.
2. Would reaching out to Microsoft's paid support actually be helpful, and how do we initiate that? What kind of costs should we expect?

We usually test our updates before rolling them out into production, but it seems we dropped the ball on this one, and now we're facing this major hurdle. Any assistance or suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

I had a similar issue recently, and I managed to use a tool called wushowhide which allowed me to block that problematic update. After doing that, everything went back to normal. Might be worth a shot!

Could you share more details on how to use that? Like, any step-by-step guide or documentation would be super helpful!

Definitely check it out! That software can be a lifesaver for managing updates.

By the way, it looks like KB5074109 has been followed up with a patch labeled KB5078127. Might be worth looking into that to see if it resolves your issues.

Are all your machines using the same hardware? I’ve read that many setups have experienced issues after that update, but I thought it was mostly affecting certain machines. You might want to double-check if there’s a pattern there.

Yes, they’re all Dell systems, but the versions differ. We have over 150 machines affected in total!

That's quite a bit more than I expected. Have you found out if there's a specific model or version that’s being more affected?
