Help! BSOD After Closing Games on My Upgraded PC

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my PC's hardware and had a technician install the new parts, which included flashing the BIOS and enabling some features. I asked him to keep Windows 10, but right after I got it back, I started experiencing BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issues whenever I closed a game after playing for about an hour. The technician then installed Windows 11 on a new M.2 drive, and for a moment, it seemed like the crashes were resolved. However, after playing Helldivers 2 at home, I ran into BSOD issues again after closing that game. I've done quite a bit of troubleshooting, including disconnecting drives and testing RAM sticks. I even used my friend's RAM, but the blue screens didn't stop. My IT friends looked at the dump files and suggested that the issue may be related to a video driver or the GPU itself, even though I haven't had trouble with the GPU before. I did a clean driver install, but that didn't help either. Even after a clean Windows install without the GPU, there were no crashes during stress tests. Once I reinstalled the GPU, I initially had some success, but I still encountered a BSOD after running OCCT. I'm feeling pretty frustrated and could really use some suggestions or insights on what might be causing these issues. Here are my specs and some BSOD messages I've documented:

- Windows 11 Home
- AMD Ryzen 9 7900x
- ASRock X870 Pro RS Wifi
- MSI Geforce RTX 4070 Super 12G Gaming x Slim
- Teamgroup T-Create 16GBx2 DDR5 6000 MHz
- EVGA SuperNOVA 1000W G2 80 PLUS GOLD Certified

I appreciate any help you can provide!

To get to the bottom of these BSODs, dump files are crucial. Check for any dump files in C:WindowsMinidump. If you find any, zip and upload them so we can analyze them further. Having multiple dump files could give us a clearer picture of what’s going wrong. If you need help finding them, let me know!

It sounds like you're facing a tough problem! Since you’ve already ruled out a lot of hardware issues by testing different components, I’d recommend double-checking your BIOS version. Your motherboard uses version 3.30 while version 3.40 is available. This update reportedly improves memory compatibility and system stability. Updating might resolve the crashes you're facing. Give that a shot whenever you can!

I haven't updated the BIOS yet, but I'll definitely try that on my day off. Thanks for the tip!

Have you considered testing your GPU in another system or using a different GPU in yours? Since it seems like the BSODs only happen with the GPU installed, it's worth seeing if the GPU is the issue or if it’s something in your setup or drivers.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to another GPU right now. But if I can get one, I’ll definitely test that out.
