Hey everyone! I've been struggling with constant BSOD issues ever since I downloaded the Nvidia 582.83 drivers a few months back. My setup has an ASUS Prime 5080 GPU and it's been frustrating. Sometimes the crashes happen while I'm gaming, and other times they occur just when I'm browsing my desktop. I've swapped out nearly all the hardware in my PC, used DDU to uninstall drivers, reinstalled Windows, and tried different driver versions without success. Occasionally, I can go a week or two without a crash, but then I'll suddenly be hit with multiple BSODs in a single day. My friends with the same GPU seem to be getting much better performance than me, which makes it even more concerning. I heard from Gamers Nexus that some users reported possible permanent damage to their GPUs due to this problematic driver. I'm unsure if I should file a warranty claim or if there's a fix that I might be missing. I'd really appreciate any insights or help you can offer! I'm also happy to provide BSOD error codes if needed. Thanks!

Make sure you're checking for dump files to diagnose the BSODs more accurately. If you can boot into Windows, try to find the dump files in C:WindowsMinidump, zip them up, and share them on a file-sharing site. That way, others can help analyze the errors more specifically. You might get more answers that way!
It sounds like you're dealing with a tough situation! Based on what you've described, the inconsistency of the crashes could indicate a memory issue rather than a problem specifically with your GPU. I've seen others suggest running tests with one RAM stick at a time to pinpoint any faulty hardware. It’s also worth checking if anything is overclocked or undervolted — that can definitely cause instability. You might also want to ensure you have the latest updates for your software to rule anything else out.
Thanks for the advice! I’ve been hearing a lot about how RAM could be the culprit. Do you think if it is a memory issue, that could also affect stability when I'm using Chrome? Sometimes pages crash, and it feels glitchy.
Yeah, absolutely! RAM issues can lead to all sorts of instability, including problems with browsers. If your RAM is faulty or not playing nice, it could easily cause apps like Chrome to misbehave. Definitely test them out!
It's important to keep track of those dump files as they contain vital info about system crashes. If you set your system to create small memory dumps, it can really help narrow down the issue. Just make sure you're not missing out on any recent errors by checking regularly!
I've got some dump files ready! I uploaded them — let's see if that sheds more light on the crashes.
