Help! Can’t boot into Bazzite due to a bad shim signature

I'm trying to switch from Windows to Linux using Bazzite because a friend recommended it for gaming, but I'm stuck! Every time I try to boot up, I get a "bad shim signature" error and it says that I need to load the kernel first. I'm using an ASUS laptop. Can someone help me figure out how to load the kernel and get the OS running?

First thing you should do is turn off Secure Boot in your BIOS settings. That often resolves the bad shim signature issue. Don't worry, you can always enable Secure Boot later if you want. Make sure you're also booting from the correct installer USB entry—look for the UEFI option instead of Legacy/MBR. And if you can, check that your target drive is using a GPT partition table, as this can cause installation issues too.

Yeah, definitely go into your BIOS and disable Secure Boot. That's usually the culprit for these errors. If you're unsure how to access BIOS, just restart your laptop and press either F2 or DEL when it starts up. You should see a menu where you can find the Secure Boot option.
