I'm trying to install Linux Cinnamon on my Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x with a Snapdragon processor, but I'm stuck because I can't get my laptop to boot from the USB flash drive on the BIOS screen. I'm really not sure what I'm doing here, and even my roommate, who's somewhat experienced with this, couldn't figure it out. If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to get this working, I'd really appreciate the help!

Just a heads up, the Linux kernel has supported ARM for a long time. GhostBSD also doesn't work with ARM architecture, so be careful there!
What distribution are you trying to boot? Since ARM laptops like yours are fairly new, they might not be supported well. You could be trying to use a version meant for Intel or AMD.
Are you struggling to find the BIOS settings to change the boot order? That can sometimes be tricky. Make sure you check the manual for your laptop if you're having trouble.
Yeah, you're right! I was attempting to install Linux Mint, but it turns out it doesn’t support Windows 11 ARM. What a bummer, thanks for pointing that out!
Actually, Linux does support ARM CPUs, but it can be hit or miss with some distributions. If you’re open to alternatives, BSD might be worth considering. Check out GhostBSD, and definitely join the Telegram BSD chat for updates!
