Help! Can’t Install Intel Drivers on My ThinkPad E460

I'm having trouble installing the latest Intel drivers for my ThinkPad E460, which has an Intel i7 6500u processor. I downloaded the drivers (version: gfx_win_101.2121, released on 4/5/2023) from Intel's official site, but when I try to install them, I receive an error message stating, "no drivers were found that can be installed on the current device. Installer exit code:8." I've tried installing these drivers on both Windows 10 and Windows 11, and I've also uninstalled the old drivers, but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

It seems like the official page mentions support from 7th gen onwards while your 6th gen might not be fully compatible with those new drivers. You could try looking for an older version that explicitly supports the 6th gen processors. There's a slightly older driver version that does, and it worked for someone else in a similar situation!

Check out Lenovo's Driver Support page because they might have the right version for your device. If that doesn’t work, the Intel Driver Assistant could be helpful too! Just be cautious as sometimes those can link back to the same problematic drivers you already have.
