I'm looking for advice on two PC builds I've received quotes for. The first build includes an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X CPU, 16GB of Team Tforce Vulcan DDR5 RAM, MSI PRO B650M-P motherboard, MSI RTX 5070 GPU, one M.2 SSD, and a Corsair CX750 750W power supply, totaling approximately $1,833. The second build features an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K CPU, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR5 RAM, MSI B840 GAMING motherboard with Wi-Fi, an MSI RTX 5050 GPU, one M.2 SSD plus an additional SSD, and an ANTEC ATOM G750 750W power supply, costing around $1,743. Since I'm not very experienced with PC parts and this is my first build, I'd like to know which setup is better and if there are any components I should improve or change completely.

I agree that the first one is the better choice overall. However, neither build is particularly awesome for the price. You might want to look into alternatives like a combination of a 7800X3D or 9800X3D CPU, a 9070 XT GPU, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM for better performance. This way, you could get a more powerful system without breaking the bank!
The first build is definitely the better option! The RTX 5070 GPU is significantly more powerful than the 5050 in the second build – we're talking about around a 150% performance increase for a similar price. You really want a strong GPU for gaming, so I'd go with the first one without a doubt.
