Hey everyone! I've recently got my hands on the RTX 5070 Founders Edition, but I'm considering making a switch to the RX 9070 XT. Right now, I game at 1080p, but I plan to upgrade to 1440p or even 4K down the line. I'm based in Europe, and the market prices are pretty steep. I could sell my current GPU for about $700 and get the new 9070 XT for around $760. I primarily play esports titles like League of Legends and CS2, with the occasional story-driven game like Cyberpunk. Future-proofing my setup is really important to me, as I don't want to upgrade for the next 5 years. Any advice?

You might miss the DLSS and the manufacturing quality of NVIDIA cards, but the raw performance boost with the 9070 XT can be worth it in my opinion!
What CPU are you currently using?
The RX 9070 XT offers about 15-20% better raw performance than the RTX 5070 in raster. Even when it comes to ray tracing, it's solid against previous generations. However, keep in mind that switching means you'll lose DLSS, which is a great feature, and you'll be getting a less efficient upscaler. But, it also gives you an extra 4GB of VRAM, which can be a lifesaver if you decide to go 4K in the future. For just a $60 difference, I think it’s a worthwhile upgrade!

I'm using the 7800x3d with a B650 Steel Legend.
