Hey everyone, I just downloaded Rainbow Six Siege and Assassin's Creed through Ubisoft Connect and my Xbox Game Pass. I haven't touched my computer since the download finished about 24 hours ago. When I came back, Ubisoft Connect prompted me to restart the application for some update. After I did that, a separate warning popped up saying 'UbisoftExtension.exe: File corrupted! This program has been manipulated and may be infected by a virus or cracked. This file won't work anymore.' This is my first time using Ubisoft Connect, and I'm pretty sure I don't have any viruses or cracked files. Has anyone encountered this before, and what should I do?

I've seen this corrupted file error with Ubisoft Connect before, and it's pretty common. A lot of users report getting similar messages. I wouldn’t worry too much about a virus—just reboot your system and try running Ubisoft Connect again. If that doesn't work, you might want to uninstall and reinstall the app. Also, consider verifying the files within the Ubisoft app to fix any corruptions. Interesting! I just clicked ‘okay’ on the pop-up and surprisingly, I was able to use Ubisoft Connect without any issues after that. No idea what it was about.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely check that link and run a scan with Malwarebytes just to be safe. Seems like a bit of a rough time with my PC lately!
