I built my gaming PC about two years ago, and it was running smoothly until recently, when I started facing persistent internet connectivity issues. These problems seemed to start at the end of last year. While my connection used to be stable, I've had to rely on various short-term fixes, like placing a Wi-Fi extender close to my PC and using an Ethernet cable to connect the two, which temporarily improves my connection. However, once I disconnect the cable, my gaming experience becomes unbearable, although general web browsing seems to work fine. I've switched from Sky to BT to try and improve things, but unfortunately, there haven't been any positive changes. It seems like this issue is only affecting my device in the house. I'm hoping someone can help troubleshoot these issues and suggest what steps I should take next. Also, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Wi-Fi drivers, along with adjusting settings in the device manager and network adapter.

If your network adapter is from Mediatek or Realtek, it’s known that these can sometimes lead to stability problems, especially if it’s an integrated Wi-Fi card. You might want to consider upgrading to a better Wi-Fi card, like one from Intel. For instance, the Gigabyte GC-WD1733 is a solid choice and might provide you with a more stable connection.

Really? If that's the case, I guess I need to think about upgrading. By the way, I'm using an MSI B760 GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard, and according to my device manager, it says I have an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211. Does this mean my adapter should be fine?
