Hey everyone, happy holidays! I'm really in a tough spot here. My PC won't boot into Windows and just shows a blue screen with the kernel mode heap corruption stop code. I've already tried a bunch of fixes I found online, but I'm starting to think that reinstalling Windows might be my only option. Can anyone offer some advice before I go down that route?

Looks like you might need to create a Windows installation USB stick. Use Rufus for this, and tick the option to skip TPM to save yourself some headaches. Once you have the USB ready, boot your laptop from it by interrupting the startup process and choosing the USB from your boot menu. The installation process is pretty straightforward. It sounds like a fresh install might be your best shot if all else fails!

So it seems like a fresh install is my only hope then?

To get a better understanding of the blue screen issue, you should check for dump files. These files are created during a crash and can help diagnose the problem. If you can boot into Safe Mode, head to C:WindowsMinidump and look for any files there. If you find them, zip the folder and upload it to a file sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire.com. If you don’t have any dump files, follow this guide to set up small memory dumps for future issues.
