Hey everyone! I recently decided to dive back into Linux and successfully installed Fedora on my old laptop. Now, I want to set it up on my desktop as a dual boot. However, I'm running into a frustrating issue. After creating boot media with the Fedora tool and getting to GRUB, I select the live version but end up with nothing but a black screen. I found out that the output is going to the onboard motherboard HDMI, not my dedicated graphics card. Initially, I installed it this way, using one of my monitors connected to the motherboard output, but after installation, I couldn't switch to my GPU. I even tried installing Nobara, hoping for better results, but got the same problem right away at the installer—just a black screen. My specs are: CPU AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI motherboard, PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU, and 32GB DDR5 RAM. The GPU works fine in Windows, so I doubt it's a hardware issue. Disabling the onboard graphics in BIOS didn't change anything, aside from losing output on the motherboard. I'm at a loss for how to get Fedora to support my GPU. Any insights?

UPDATE: I think I figured it out! I disabled the Resize Bar in BIOS, and now I can boot into the live environment. I'm going to try the install now. Fingers crossed that I can re-enable it afterward!
Disabling your integrated GPU in BIOS is often recommended. There's hardly a reason to keep it on unless you're doing GPU passthrough, which is a different topic altogether. Plus, by disabling it, you might even free up some RAM. If your main GPU still isn't working after this, you might be missing something else. Just to check, make sure your monitor is plugged directly into the GPU outputs!
What specific error were you getting during the Nobara install?
There was no error message, just a black screen right after selecting to boot into the live environment from GRUB.
I did try disabling the iGPU, but it didn't help, and I have all my monitors connected to the GPU. I’m still getting a black screen.
