Help! Fortnite Crashes My PC – What’s Going On?

I've been dealing with constant crashes while playing Fortnite for over a year now. Initially, everything runs smoothly, but soon after starting, the game freezes and can crash my entire PC, ranging from a minor app crash to a full shutdown. I've tried a lot of troubleshooting: reinstalling Windows multiple times, updating and downgrading my AMD graphics drivers, and running several memory stability tests, but nothing seems to help. My system passes all tests without errors, so I'm at a loss. Other games run perfectly fine on my computer, which adds to my frustration. I suspect the issue might stem from a bad game update or driver, but after a year of updates, I'm stumped. Here are my specs: Gigabyte Z590 Gaming X, Intel Core i7 11700k, 2x16GB DDR4-2666 RAM, and a Gigabyte AMD Radeon RTX 6650 XT. I've also attached minidump files from the crashes, which seem to indicate invalid pointer read/writes. Can anyone offer insights on what could be causing this?

Have you checked what SSD the game is installed on? Also, what power supply are you using? These can sometimes affect stability in certain games.

I took a look at your minidump file and it seems you might be encountering a "page fault in a non-paged area" error, which can be tricky. Invalid pointer read/writes often point to a RAM issue, but since you've already tested your RAM, it could likely be the motherboard. How long did you run your memtest? I usually go for at least one hour per cycle with Testmem5. Also, consider swapping the RAM slots or running `sfc /scannow` to repair your OS, which might help!

An easy fix might be just to uninstall Fortnite and play something else for now. But if you want to keep playing, I'd recommend downloading a bluescreen viewer to investigate the crashes further. Check your PC's temperatures and components as well, and if it crashes during specific moments, like starting the game or matchmaking, that can give clues. You might want to try repairing Windows too, especially if you're on Windows 11, since you can reinstall it without losing your stuff.

That’s solid advice! Also, have you contacted Fortnite support? It could be a bug on their end after recent updates.
