I've been dealing with this USB over current device detected error for a while now. Whenever I shut down my PC, I have to leave it unplugged for several hours before it will start up again, or else this message pops up and the PC automatically shuts down. I've sent it for repair twice already, but the issue keeps coming back. Should I just replace the motherboard?

That error usually indicates a problem with one of your USB ports, or possibly the front panel ports. Try unplugging all USB devices and the internal USB front panel header if you can. Then plug in just one USB device at a time to see if you can start up without the error. If the error persists even with nothing plugged in, it might be linked to a faulty motherboard or the front panel USB port. Make sure to check all the ports for debris or bent contacts too!
That could definitely be an issue! The GPU might be making slight contact with the audio ports. Even if it’s not fully touching, any interference could cause problems. Don't forget to clean off any dust too, just to be safe!
I’ve tried turning it on without any devices connected, but I'm still getting the same error. I checked the ports and the front panel isn’t connected, which makes me suspect the motherboard. It's funny how the error only goes away after leaving it unplugged for a while. Thanks for your suggestions!
Yeah, that sounds like a good step. If everything looks fine with the ports and nothing is touching the motherboard, maybe test it with another power supply? I've had issues like this before, and sometimes it's a PSU problem rather than the motherboard.
