Help! Getting USBConfig.exe Error on Startup

Whenever I start my laptop, I get a frustrating error message saying, "USBConfig.exe - System Error: The code execution cannot proceed because u2ec.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem." I have already scanned my computer for viruses and malware, but nothing was found. I also tried running an sfc scan, and updating the drivers, but the error keeps showing up. My laptop seems to be functioning fine apart from this annoying pop-up. Is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue?

Have you tried locating that missing "u2ec.dll" file and installing it? A few years back, I dealt with similar issues and downloaded specific dll files from trusted sources. After a quick restart, the errors usually disappeared. Just make sure you're getting them from legit sites to avoid any problems!

Thanks! I did try that, but unfortunately, it didn't work and the error still appears after reboot.

Have you checked the registry to see if there's a way to remove this error? Sometimes, USB ports can act up, so it might be worth looking into your device settings as well. Also, running a system scan for any corruption could help. Let me know what you find out!

I checked the registry and device settings, but didn’t find any issues. The scan didn't show any errors either.
