Hey everyone! I really need some assistance with a Trojan I've found on my computer. While working on a college report, my antivirus started bombarding me with notifications about a file named Trojan:Win32/Kepavll!rfn. I've tried to remove it, but every attempt has failed. Could this be a false positive? I also tried troubleshooting using safe mode and running 'sfc /scannow,' but nothing seems to help.

Could it be related to a plugin you're using? I heard some Final Fantasy 14 plugin loaders trigger antivirus alerts. If you've got anything like that on your system, it might explain the false alarm. Still, it's best to ensure your PC is clean just in case.
I get that these messages can be alarming! If you're sure you weren't running any games or plugins, it should be safe to investigate further. Running a third-party malware removal program could help catch anything your regular antivirus might miss.
This sounds frustrating! It’s worth checking out a malware removal guide if you haven't already. Some viruses can be tricky to get rid of. Even if it seems like a false positive, it's better to be cautious. You might want to try a different antivirus tool to see if it can handle the removal better. Good luck!
