I'm in a bit of a bind and need some advice. I recently decided to cancel my OneDrive subscription, and after doing that, my storage got full. So, I unlink my OneDrive from my phone and made sure nothing was syncing anymore. Then, I went ahead and cleared out my OneDrive, thinking it was all good. However, when I connected my phone to my laptop to transfer some pictures, it automatically turned the sync back on. Now, I've lost a bunch of photos, including all of my baby's first pictures, and I'm completely devastated. Is there any way to recover them? Why does OneDrive have to be so unreliable?

I really feel for you; that's such a tough situation. But this might be a learning moment! Maybe consider using a backup service moving forward. It's always good to have copies in more than one place to avoid these kinds of losses!
When you delete items from OneDrive, they usually go into the OneDrive Recycle Bin, but keep in mind they’re permanently removed after 30 days. You should double-check by going to your OneDrive account in a web browser; just visit onedrive.live.com and look in the Recycle Bin to see if your photos are sitting there. It’s worth a shot! Good luck!
I checked the Recycle Bin and there’s nothing there. All my photos are deleted from my phone, and they didn't come back to OneDrive.
Thanks for the suggestion! I definitely think I’ll look into better backup options.
