I've hit a major snag with my Apple ID. It seems to have been reset for no apparent reason, and after reaching out to Apple support multiple times, they told me there's nothing they can do to help recover it. Losing three years' worth of pictures and videos feels devastating. Now, I'm trying to factory reset my phone, but I can't do it without a proof of purchase. My dad gifted me this phone, and he bought it used from someone who's unreachable now. I'm feeling really stuck and would appreciate any advice!

Just a heads up, accounts don't randomly reset. Can you clarify what you mean by 'reset'? Also, did you maybe share your Apple ID login info with anyone?
You're not alone in feeling this frustration! It's a real hassle dealing with account issues, but stick with it!
It sounds like you're locked out rather than your ID being reset. Do you have 2FA set up on your account? That could help you regain access. If you're not sure, check on that.
I haven't shared my Apple ID info, and I'm not sure what happened to cause this.
