I ordered a replacement AirPod after losing my original, but I found the original the same night. I contacted Apple Support and was told to call back the next day to cancel the order. However, when I called, I found out that the replacement was already processing for shipment and couldn't be canceled. Now I'm also told I can't return the replacement. I was advised to refuse delivery, but since I live in an apartment where packages are just dropped off, I'm worried about that too. Does anyone have any advice? Am I stuck losing $100 here?

Yeah, service parts like AirPods generally aren't returnable. I had a similar thing happen where I found my lost AirPod right after ordering a replacement, and I wasn't able to back out either. Really annoying!
It's frustrating, but unfortunately once the replacement is in processing, they usually can't cancel it. I think they give a heads-up about not being able to cancel, but it might not be super clear in the app. Refusing delivery might not guarantee a refund either, so you could be caught between a rock and a hard place here.
You're in a tough spot! Refusing delivery is often suggested, but it can be hit or miss on whether you'll get your money back. It's worth checking again with support for any possible options.
