I recently got a Lenovo Ideapad 320 from a friend, and I tried to factory reset it to clear his files and improve its performance. Unfortunately, I left it unplugged overnight during the reset process, and it died halfway through. Now, I can't log into the admin account, which I suspect is because the Windows installation got corrupted. I think it's running Windows 10, but I'm not entirely sure. Can anyone help me get this sorted?

First, you might want to try booting the laptop in Safe Mode. It's a diagnostic startup mode that can sometimes help you get past login issues. Just turn it on and repeatedly press F8 until the menu shows up. If that doesn't work, consider a clean install of Windows using a USB drive. You can find a step-by-step guide online to help you with that.

I can only get to the Lock Screen, so I’m unsure if Safe Mode will work, but I’ll give it a shot! If not, I’ll look into that clean install option.
