Help! I Disabled the Wrong PCI Express Port in BIOS – What Now?

I have a HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop that's a bit older, and I accidentally disabled the wrong PCI Express port while trying to turn off my network adapter. Unfortunately, I disabled the graphics card port instead, and since my motherboard doesn't have native graphics, I'm stuck. I've already tried removing the CMOS battery and using the Win + B shortcut to reset the BIOS, but nothing seems to work. How serious is this situation?

Could you get the model number for your PC? That might help diagnose the issue better. Also, how long did you leave the battery out?

Model: HP Pavilion Gaming 690-0024. Not home to post a pic right now, and I left the battery out for over 5 minutes.

You might want to look for a CMOS reset jumper on the motherboard if you haven't already. That could help restore the original settings.

HP appears to have dumped the manual because they no longer support the device. I don’t have it since I bought it secondhand, but I’ll try to figure it out.

Have you tried switching your graphics card to a different PCI Express slot? Sometimes that can work in situations like this.

Negatory on that one, ghost rider. It's not the same size. This was a cheap barebones "gaming" PC, so they really skimped on the parts.
