I created a local account on my Windows 11 machine and when I logged into it, it said it couldn't retrieve my user folders. After logging out, this was the only account available. I ended up deleting the local account and booted into safe mode, but it was the only account there too. I checked my dual boot setup and all my files are just gone! I tried using PhotoRec to recover them for free, but it only provided useless folders and some of the files I actually need are still missing. TenorShare found them, but that costs $50! I'm desperate for a solution and running out of time. I can't restore because something else is missing. I'm really in a bind and need those files back!

It sounds like you might need to bite the bullet and pay the $50 unless you're comfortable using recovery software on your own. Linux has some great options for data recovery, but you’ll need some technical knowledge. If you're unsure, you can find guides online or ask for more tips.
I feel your pain! If you haven't tried it yet, check out DMDE. It's a tool that data recovery pros use, and while the free trial has its limitations (like only recovering a folder at a time), it's worth a shot. Just remember not to write any new data on the drive you're recovering from, and save those files to a different location. Good luck!
Unfortunately, if you're using an SSD, the odds aren't great. After deletion, TRIM and garbage collection processes might kick in and permanently erase files. It’s tough, especially since deleting that local account likely wiped those files you had saved. Why did you decide to delete it anyway?
