I accidentally uninstalled my Wi-Fi device driver while trying to fix a different issue where my Wi-Fi icon wasn't showing up. I was advised to use an Ethernet cable to connect to the internet and download the driver from the manufacturer (Samsung). However, my Ethernet cable isn't working; I've tried several cables and routers, so I suspect it's a system issue. I saw that I could potentially find my drivers through Windows Update, but I can't even download those. I'm in a bit of a bind and don't want to spend money on a new device.

You could try downloading the driver on your phone and then transfer it to your computer using a USB cable. Alternatively, use another computer to download it onto a flash drive if you have one handy.
You can also use your phone as a hotspot and connect to your computer with a USB cable. This way, your phone acts like an Ethernet connection, and you can download the necessary drivers directly!
If none of your Ethernet cables are working, double-check Windows' "Network Adapter Settings" to make sure your Ethernet connection is enabled. If that doesn’t help, you can download the Wi-Fi adapter's driver from the Samsung website using a different computer. Just search for your laptop model to find the right drivers, then transfer the installer via USB.
