Help! I’m Locked Out of My iPad and Can’t Remember the Passcode!

I'm trying to make my iPad my main device for all my Apple products, but when I logged into my iCloud account, it asked me for my iPad's passcode to verify my login. I've been locked out for hours because I typically use Face ID and forgot the passcode. I've tried a bunch of times but can't remember it. All the guides I found suggest tapping 'Forget Passcode?', but I don't have that option since I logged out of my previous account. I'm really stuck and the only option I can see left is to travel four hours to an Apple Store, which isn't convenient at all. I'm really in need of help to figure this out!

From what you've described, it looks like the options are pretty limited without the passcode. Apple's ecosystem is quite secure, so if you can’t remember it, unfortunately, you might need professional help. Have you tried reaching out to Apple through a support ticket online? It could save you a long journey. Just a reminder too, make sure to check any announcements from Apple regarding their support availability.

I feel for you, that's such a hassle! Remember, if you can't recall your passcode at all, there's not much we can do here. You might want to consider calling Apple directly. They can give you the next steps to possibly reset your device or recover it, even if it involves a visit.

It sounds frustrating! Just a heads up, even with Face ID, the iPad should prompt you to enter your passcode every so often. It seems like your device hasn't done that recently, but you might want to double-check if there's any pattern to when or why it asks for it. If you truly can’t remember the passcode, your best bet may be to visit an Apple Store or contact their support team. They might have options like live chat or ticketing through their website that could help you without the long trip.
