I've been testing out different Linux distributions, but I'm running into issues trying to install Pop!_OS. I've also tried Linux Mint, Bazzite, Kubuntu, and base Fedora, but none of them worked. I'm wondering if there's someone who can help me figure out what's going wrong? I found some error in the installation process pointing to an issue with the extraction of the filesystem. Any advice would be appreciated!

What tool are you using to create your bootable USB drive? If you’re using Rufus, make sure you're selecting the right options for your ISO, as it can affect the installation process.

When you see an `unsquashfs` error like the one you mentioned, it usually points to a problem with your installation media. This can happen if the ISO file you downloaded is corrupt, there's an issue with how it was written to the USB stick, or if the USB stick itself is faulty. It might be worth trying a different USB stick to rule that out. Also, check if your RAM is functioning properly, as that can sometimes cause similar issues.

Sounds like your USB drive might be the culprit. If it's failing right after you bought it, there might be a warranty or return option. I’d suggest going back to the store where you purchased it and explaining the situation. They should help you either fix it or provide a replacement.

I recommend checking out some installation tips available online. Just make sure you're using an Ethernet cable for a stable connection during the install, and don’t forget to remove the boot media once you're done with the installation! It can save you from potential boot problems later.
