Help! Is My RAM, CPU, or Motherboard Dead?

I built my PC in November 2023, but I've been having some major issues lately. After a long vacation, I found that I needed to switch off and on the PSU just to start my PC again. This week, my computer would randomly turn off after running for only about five minutes. I managed to update my OS without any problems, but my BIOS update failed because the PC turned off right before I could finalize it. Now, it won't even turn on properly. My motherboard's POST shows a solid orange light, which likely indicates a RAM issue. I've reset the CMOS and even used an eraser on the RAM pins. I replaced my PSU and reseated the RAM sticks, trying them one at a time. It seems the first stick might be dead since it won't power on the PC. The second stick at least lets me power on, but the PC displays a solid red light, which might point to a CPU problem. Plus, every time I restart the PC, I have to reseat the second stick to get it to turn on at all. I realize now that I should have replaced the PSU sooner, and now I'm stuck wondering if it's my RAM, the motherboard, or the CPU that's to blame. Here are my specs in case it helps:

- Asus ROG Strix B650e-i Gaming WiFi
- AMD Ryzen 5 7600
- G.Skill Flare X5 32GB (2x16GB)
- XFX RX 7800XT QICK
- Be Quiet Pure Power 11 FM 750W (now replaced with Deepcool DQ750M)

I can't afford to replace all the parts right now, so I'm hoping to narrow it down to just one issue, or I might have to downgrade to AM4 to fit my budget.

Have you considered checking how often you dust your PC? Also, make sure you're grounding yourself when working with the components. I’ve found that good airflow helps a lot too! Do you have positive airflow set with your fans?

It's good that you’re dusting it! Just make sure to shut down and unplug the system first and discharge any leftover current by holding the power button. Those grounding bracelets are pretty affordable and could help prevent static issues.

I dust my PC around four times a year! My last clean-up was just in January when I first noticed the PSU issue. I did try to change the CMOS battery at that time as well.

If you haven't already, try cleaning your RAM slots with some 90% isopropyl alcohol on a q-tip. Wait for everything to dry and reseat them in different slots. This can help with connection issues.
