Hi everyone! I'm running into a frustrating problem with our Windows Server 2016 setup. We've always been able to connect via Remote Desktop without any issues, but now everyone in the network is facing the same error message: "Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because the Connection Broker couldn't validate the settings specified in your RDP file. Contact your network administrator for assistance." This happens right after we log in.
I've tried a bunch of solutions from online forums, but nothing's worked out for me. All necessary remote desktop services seem to be running both on the server and my computer. I even restarted the broker service after reading it could help, but no luck. I've tinkered with some registry keys as well—deleted them and recreated them, but that hasn't fixed the problem either.
Could this issue be related to our Meraki Firewall? I can access the server through ESXi, but I really need the team to connect via Remote Desktop. I'm looking for your expertise before I reach out to our MSP. Let me know if you need any more details!

Have you tried creating a new RDP file or shortcut? Sometimes, just a fresh file can clear things up. It's pretty easy to do! Just set up the connection again and save the new file. That might help you get things running smoothly again!
I haven’t made a new one yet. Could you share how to do that? I’ve never had to before.
