Help! Locked out of Find My Phone due to Google Authenticator

I lost my phone and need to use Google's Find My Phone service to locate it. The problem is that I recently installed the Google Authenticator app, which requires a code to log in. However, the code is sent to my phone, which I can't access because I misplaced it. Is there a way to bypass the authenticator for specific Google services, or do I have to face this Catch 22 situation? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you have backup codes from when you set up 2FA, you can use one of those to log in. Google usually provides a set of them when you enroll, and they're meant for situations like this!

I actually saved those codes, but I'm not at home where my computer is to access them. Maybe I could just take a picture of them next time!

Remember, when you first set up Two-Factor Authentication, you had the chance to save some recovery keys. This step is vital, so make sure to keep them in a secure place for emergencies!

Unfortunately, if you can't access the authenticator app, you won't be able to log in. That's how these security measures work. Just keep in mind--it's there to protect your personal information.

Yeah, I get that, but it feels like a real catch 22 right now. I didn't expect this setup to make it harder to find my lost phone!
