I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card after using a GTX 1080 for 8 years, and I could really use some help figuring out my options! I want a card that has DLSS support and preferably costs between $400-$500. A few friends suggested the RTX 3080 Ti, but I've also heard mixed reviews about the RTX 5000 series. Are there any recommendations or insights you guys have? Thanks in advance!

I just upgraded from a 1080 to a 3070 and saw a nice performance boost without needing any extra power. It's still 8 GB, but it's a decent upgrade!
The RTX 5000 series does offer great performance, but they come with a higher price tag. For your budget, I'd suggest looking at something like the 9060 XT 16 GB or the 9070 (non-XT). The GTX 1080 was a champ for a long time, but you'll want more VRAM for future-proofing, especially if you're gaming seriously. Trust me, 8 GB won't cut it in the near future!
When choosing a new card, look for options with at least 16 GB. The RTX 4080 Super or 5070 Ti are solid choices but can be pricey. If you find something you like that's above your budget, it might be worth waiting until you have more funds for a higher-end model. The 1080 still holds up pretty well for many games, especially at 2K resolution, so don't rush it if you don't have to!

8 GB is still fine for most games at 1440p with upscaling, but you might run into issues at 4K with some titles. Just keep that in mind!
