Hey everyone! I've got an old Motorola G Power 2021 that I've kept stashed away for a while. Unfortunately, the screen is broken, and I can't remember the unlock pattern. I'm trying to grab some pictures from the gallery, but they aren't saved to Google Cloud either. I have a Chromebook and another phone—can I connect the Motorola directly to the Chromebook using USB to transfer the files? Or is there any other way to access the internal storage without resetting the device? Thanks for the help!

Have you tried plugging the phone into your laptop? It might not show up as a drive by default. If it's running a recent Android version, it usually connects in charging mode. You'd have to switch it to USB mass storage mode, which can be tricky when the phone is locked. But if you can’t access the phone, I'm not sure it'll help much.
Bummer! Sounds like a tough situation. It’s such a hassle when devices lock you out like that.
Just a heads up, I wouldn’t recommend trying to bypass the unlock pattern. Plus, factory resetting the phone is a no-go since that would wipe all your photos. I found this official Motorola link with their advice, but it’s pretty much about resetting the device and not helpful for your situation: [Motorola Support](https://www.motorola-support.com/us-en/?page=device/motorola/moto-g-power-2021/topic/security/forgot-unlock-code)

Yeah, I tried that too. My Chromebook just shows the usual download menu and doesn't recognize the phone at all.
