Hey everyone! I'm a complete newbie trying to build a budget-friendly PC for gaming, as my current 10-year-old laptop just can't handle anything modern. I don't need top-tier performance—I'm fine with mid-range graphics and I can't really notice the difference between 60 and 90 fps. I'm looking to play games like Cyberpunk, WoW, and Baldur's Gate III and I want to know if one of these builds is significantly better than the other.
Here are my two build options:
**Build #1:**
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 5 7500F TRAY
- **GPU:** Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB GDDR6
- **Motherboard:** ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 (mATX, Socket AM5, AMD B650)
- **SSD:** Lexar 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe NM710
- **RAM:** GOODRAM 32GB (2x16GB) 6400MHz CL32 IRDM BLACK V SILVER
- **Cooling:** Thermalright Assassin X 120 Refined SE 120mm
- **Power Supply:** FSP/Fortron VITA GM 850W 80 Plus Gold ATX 3.1
**Build #2:**
- **CPU:** Intel Core i5-12400F OEM
- **GPU:** ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 Dual
- **Motherboard:** ASUS Prime B760-Plus D4
- **SSD:** PNY CS2241
- **RAM:** GoodRam IRDM, DDR5, 32 GB, 6000MHz, CL36
- **Cooling:** Arctic Cooling Freezer 36
- **Power Supply:** XPG Probe (552 W)
I'm curious if the first build is really that much better than the second, whether all the parts will work well together, and if there are any budget-friendly changes I could make to improve performance. Also, is there anything crucial that I'm missing? Thanks for your help!

Honestly, the Ryzen 5 7500F in Build #1 is a solid option since it's a new generation CPU, but it's set to have new versions released soon. That said, if you're building now, it's still quite capable for gaming at mid settings. The Radeon RX 9070 XT is also a strong GPU, so that build is looking good overall! Just keep in mind that it will have some competition soon, but if you're not too concerned about future-proofing, you're in good shape.

Thanks for the insight! So just to confirm, the new versions releasing next year don't really matter since you're saying it can still perform well now, right? Also, what do you mean by '14 is a dead end'? That’s kinda confusing for me!
