Help Me Choose Parts for My New Gaming PC!

I'm in the process of building a gaming PC and I want to pick out the components myself, but I could use some guidance! My budget is around 1800 AUD, and I'm primarily into playing AAA games and competitive titles like VALORANT and Overwatch 2. So far, here's what I've got on my list: a B650-A motherboard, a 2TB Samsung 990 PRO SSD, and I'm on the fence between getting a GeForce RTX 4060 or RTX 4090. For the CPU, I was thinking about the 7900X3D 12 core, but I'm concerned it might exceed my budget. I'm also looking for good and affordable 32GB RAM options. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

For your CPU, I'd suggest the 7800X3D—it should perform great for gaming without blowing your budget. As for the GPU, consider the 4070 Ti or RX 9070 XT, as they can handle AAA games at high settings quite well. If you're looking for RAM, 6000 MHz CL30 is solid; just steer clear of the super cheap options. And don't forget a good cooler like the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120; it offers excellent value and will keep your CPU running cool!

Choosing between the 4060 and 4090 is tricky, but they target different performance levels. If you can afford it, the 4090 is a powerhouse, but the 4060 would still work for your needs. Also, check out guides on PCPartPicker for detailed builds—super handy for tracking down parts that fit your budget!

That’s a good point! I’ll look into that guide. Do you think the 5060 Ti 16GB is worth it or is there something cheaper that would suffice?
