Help Me Choose the Right Linux Distro for Gaming and Projects

I'm on a quest to find the perfect Linux distro for my needs. I do a lot of gaming and I also work on personal projects. Customizability and control over my machine are super important to me, but I also want something that's stable. I keep seeing mixed recommendations: some people say Mint, while others swear by Arch for its customizability. Arch sounds appealing since it uses fewer resources, but I worry it might cause stability headaches. I love learning and tinkering, but I don't want to spend all my time fixing things that should just work. I'd appreciate any suggestions to help me break free from this research loop!

Honestly, it doesn't really matter too much which distro you choose; they can all be customized to your heart's content. Arch gives you a clean slate, so you're forced to make decisions, but you can adjust any Linux distro. If stability is key for you, I’d lean more towards Debian or Fedora—they aren't as bleeding edge, but they're stable. Just dive into Linux and enjoy the ride! Plus, make sure to back up your dot files; that's where the real customization happens!

Yeah, I was thinking Fedora might be a good middle ground to consider.
