Having Issues Burning CDs – Need Help!

Hey everyone! I'm trying to burn some CDs using CDBurnerXP and CD-Rs, and I'm running into some serious problems. My files are all in MP3 format, which I'm not sure if that's affecting anything. The first attempt was at the usual burn speed of 24x, but the disc ended up being completely blank. On my second try, I lowered it to 16x, and while it plays fine on my laptop, it's just a mess of static and weird rewind noises on my CD player. I'm really confused since I've never done this before, and it's pretty frustrating.

Have you checked if you’re burning the CDs as audio CDs or data CDs? Your CD player might not read MP3 files if it’s just a data CD. Generally, lower burn speeds are more reliable, but I suspect your first burn was an MP3 CD, which may not work in your player.

I am burning them as audio CDs, but I wonder if my portable CD player might be the issue. It’s a Deluxe Products model, but not sure if it’s reliable.
