Help Me Choose the Right Motherboard for My PC Build

I'm in the process of building my first PC and could really use some advice on selecting a mid-range motherboard. I'll be using a Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, a Gigabyte RX 9070 XT GPU, and G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 RAM.

I've done quite a bit of research, but I find myself feeling uncertain since every brand and model seems to have had its share of issues. I want a good quality motherboard without breaking the bank—my budget is around $200. The options I've narrowed it down to are:

- Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7
- Asus TUF GAMING B850-E WIFI
- MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the reliability and performance of these options or any other recommendations suited for my build. Thanks a lot for any help you can offer!

I've had good luck with Gigabyte in the past. The AORUS ELITE is a great choice—looks awesome too! But that’s ultimately your call.

I agree, it does look amazing, especially since I'm going for an all-black build. I really appreciate your insight and I think I'm leaning towards that board now because it has great reviews on PCPartPicker and is cheaper too.

All three are solid options! If you're planning to use Gen5 SSDs, the B850 chipset is your best bet.

Really appreciate your input! If I go with the B850 chipset, do you have a brand preference, like between Gigabyte and Asus?

I'd go with any B850 motherboard that has the I/O features you need. They're all solid choices, so you can’t go wrong with that!
