Hey everyone! My laptop just broke down, and I've decided to build my first desktop. I've put together a potential parts list using PC Part Picker, and I'm looking for your opinions on the components I've chosen. I'm mainly going to use this PC for gaming and also for some studying in AutoCAD and Revit. I'm still learning, so I might not know some of the technical jargon. Please feel free to suggest any better parts that might be more cost-effective or of better quality. Here's my list: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9QnK9C)

Your build looks solid! I'd recommend swapping out the PSU for the Montech Century II 850W as it's cheaper but still a good quality choice. I noticed you listed two GPUs—are you planning to decide between them?

Yeah, I was debating between them. Thanks for the tip!

The 5070 Ti is definitely the better choice if you're looking at those two GPUs. The 12GB VRAM of the 5070 just doesn't cut it for some games anymore, especially at 1440p. For RAM, you can find DDR5 6000 CL30 for a similar price, which is slightly better. If you're not into productivity or streaming that demands the extra cores of the 7700X, the 9600X is a smart pick for gaming. You could also look at a less expensive Thermalright AIO for around $50. The Arctic Freezer may be too big for your case, so a dual-tower air cooler like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit for about $30 could be enough.

I actually had an overheating issue with my laptop's CPU before it broke, so is liquid cooling really overkill for my setup?
