Help Me Decide Between X870E Motherboards

I'm in the market for a new X870E or X870 motherboard and I have a few specific requirements. I need a PCIe Gen 5 slot, 5.1 audio output (preferably analog PCM, but DTS would work too), and four RAM slots. I'm currently considering the MSI X870E Edge Ti and the MSI X870E Gaming Plus, but I could use some advice. My CPU is a Ryzen 7700X, and while I'm not planning to overclock it manually, I do want to utilize Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) for maximum performance. Any suggestions on which motherboard to go for, or should I consider other options?

The Edge model is considered more premium and features a better audio codec. Honestly, both motherboards may be more than you need. There are other chipsets that could meet your requirements without going overboard. Just a side note, be careful with the audio codec since getting DTS to work over ALC4080 can be tricky.

Why do you need Gen 5 slots? Also, are you sure you need 5.1 analog output? DTS is a digital format, so keep that in mind. The main difference between the X870 and X870E models is the USB support; is that a factor for you? Lower chipsets might also work just fine for your needs, so have you thought about that?
