Hey everyone! It's been a decade since I've put together a PC, and I'm still running on DDR3 RAM with an i5-4690K and a GTX 1070. I mainly play competitive shooters but also enjoy some single-player games now and then. I have a 24-inch 144Hz monitor that I think I'll keep, but I'm considering swapping out almost everything else.
Currently, I have a 128GB SSD for my C drive and a 1TB SSD for my D drive, but I'm thinking it might be better to switch to an NVMe drive instead. I'm also unsure if I should keep my PSU or if it's better to replace it. I'm a bit of a novice in building PCs, and I'm just trying to figure out if this AM5 build is good or if I should make any changes. I'm based in the UK and would like to keep my budget under £1200. Here's my saved build link: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/JamesJamesJames87/saved/#view=BkMtQ7

Nice to see you getting back into building! Just so you know, going with an NVMe SSD will really speed things up, so I recommend switching to that if you're planning on upgrading. As for your PSU, if it’s around 500W or higher and from a decent brand, it should be fine, but double-check the specs for compatibility with your new parts. Generally, it sounds like a solid build for 1080p gaming, especially if you stick to your budget. Good luck!
Yeah, definitely look into the wattage and connectors. If you have any doubts, replacing the PSU might be the safest bet! Also, make sure your cooling solution is up to par for the AM5 chip.
