I'm looking to upgrade my GPU tomorrow and I think I've settled on the GTX 3050 with 8GB RAM. However, I've seen a lot of negative reviews about it online. I'm not in a position to spend too much since this money comes from my summer job and birthday, and I'm hoping to improve my PC step by step. I've been eyeing the AMD RX 6600 too, but I've been told it won't work well with my Intel i5 9400F CPU. I'm feeling stuck—what do you think I should do?

Just so you know, using a Radeon GPU with an Intel CPU is totally fine and won’t give you any issues.
Wait, why can’t you get the RX 6600 because of your CPU? I can guarantee you it’ll work just fine with your i5 9400F. I would pick the RX 6600 over the RTX 3050 any day, hands down.
What’s your budget, by the way? Just curious about how much you can spend. And can you clarify why you think the CPU limits your GPU choices? That doesn’t typically apply.
If your focus is on low power, the GTX 3050 might seem okay, but I really think you should reconsider and look at the RX 6600. It's a stronger performer overall.
