I'm building my first PC and could use some help figuring out if I'm on the right track. I'm not super knowledgeable about PC parts, but I've been doing a lot of research online and watching videos. Currently, I'm using my partner's old computer, but I'm looking to upgrade since it struggles with performance in the games I enjoy, especially city builders and life simulators like The Sims, where I'd love to play on Ultra settings for smoother gameplay. Right now, I'm getting about 25 fps, and the computer tends to overheat and crash.
Here's what I have planned so far, with an estimated budget just under 1800 euros (or 1900 USD):
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- CPU Cooler: Deepcool AK400
- Motherboard: Asus B850 MAX GAMING WIFI
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2 x 16GB)
- Storage: 2x Kingston NV3 (1x 500GB, 1x 1TB)
- GPU: Radeon RX 9070
- Case: Phanteks XT Pro Ultra
- PSU: Corsair RM750e
I've been second-guessing some of my choices, especially regarding the CPU, since I considered the 9600 instead of the 7600X based on performance comparisons I've seen. I'd really appreciate any feedback on whether anything looks odd or could be improved based on the parts I've chosen. Thanks in advance for your help!

Your build looks solid overall and should handle 1440p gaming quite well, though it does seem a bit pricey based on your location. One thing to consider is swapping out the Kingston NV3 SSDs for higher-quality ones since they are often regarded as low-tier. Brands like WD Blue, Teamgroup, or Crucial have great options if you check out the spreadsheet I mentioned — it could improve performance significantly.

I think you're right about the prices being high here. I only just realized the SSD choice could impact my performance so thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check out those alternatives.
