I'm having a weird issue with my Windows 11 computer where Microsoft Edge keeps opening automatically, even though I've turned off auto boot. When I try to shut it down from the task manager, it just instantly reopens. I've also seen a popup saying 'Programs using location: Microsoft Edge' in the bottom right corner. Additionally, I noticed 'Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection' listed in the Control Panel's Uninstall menu, but the only programs I've installed recently are Steam, Brave Browser, and Discord. I haven't visited any websites on Microsoft Edge except for downloading another browser. Could this indicate a virus or malware issue?

Just so you know, Remote Desktop Connection is a regular Windows feature, so its presence isn't a red flag. But definitely check your startup programs in the task manager to make sure Microsoft Edge isn’t set to launch automatically. If it is, you can disable it there.
If Edge is already disabled in the startup, you might want to look for any suspicious programs running in the background. You could also reset Edge settings or try uninstalling it completely, since you mentioned it pops up too often. Just be cautious and make sure to back up any important data before making changes.
Yeah, I've already disabled it, but it just keeps coming back. It’s super frustrating!
