Hey everyone, I've run into a frustrating issue where the 'Microsoft Print to PDF' option has vanished from my Windows 11 Pro machine after the latest updates. I've tried turning the feature off and on again, but that just gives me an error code (0x800f0922). What's really odd is that I can't even add it manually because the necessary printer drivers don't show up in the list despite multiple Windows updates. I've attempted to troubleshoot using PowerShell and even played around with some registry keys, but nothing seems to help. My machine is running an Intel CPU, so it's not an ARM issue. Has anyone experienced this problem and found a workaround?

I had the same problem and here's what worked for me: I followed a guide that involved navigating to the device manager and uninstalling the Microsoft Print to PDF device, then rebooting and letting Windows reinstall it. It took a bit, but it eventually fixed the issue for me!
Yeah, this is a known issue for some users after recent updates. I found a thread where someone shared a potential fix. Basically, you can try reinstalling the printer support feature through the optional features settings in Windows. It can sometimes re-establish the printer drivers. Just make sure your system is fully updated too!
Thanks for the heads up! I'll give that a shot and see if it works.
Interesting approach! I'll try that and let you know if it works. Thanks for sharing!
