I was using my Acer laptop when it suddenly shut down, and now I'm seeing a message that says "No Bootable Device." I'm really stuck and unsure what to do next. I've tried some basic things, but nothing seems to work, and I also found out that it doesn't support legacy mode. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

When you see "No Bootable Device," it typically means the laptop can't find the hard drive. Try rebooting your laptop again, just a simple on and off. There's a chance the drive might have failed. If it's detected in BIOS, that’s a good sign, but if it isn't, you might be looking at a dead hard drive.

It sounds like your laptop is having trouble detecting the hard drive. First, check your BIOS settings to see if the drive is recognized there. If you don’t see the drive listed anywhere, it might be dead and will need replacing. If it is detected, it could just be a software issue with Windows. You might want to create a bootable USB with a live operating system like Hiren's or Ubuntu from another computer. This will let you boot your laptop and hopefully back up your data before reinstalling Windows.

Have you tried booting from a WinPE disk? This could help you see if you can access your hard drive. If you can, make sure to back up any important files. Also, it’ll help determine if the drive is truly failing.
