Help! My Acer Laptop Won’t Boot After Disabling Secure Boot

Hey everyone, I'm running Fedora 42 KDE on my Acer Nitro V15 laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060. Everything was working great for about a week, but then I ran into some issues with my microphone. In my attempt to troubleshoot, I disabled secure boot. After turning my laptop back on and pressing F12, the boot menu didn't show up as expected. Instead, I was presented with three Fedora boot options and some UEFI settings. I selected the UEFI options, and it began booting, but all I saw was the logo for a long time. Eventually, I had to force shut down my laptop, and now it just shows a black screen when I try to turn it on, even though the keyboard lights up and the fans are running. I've been stuck like this for a couple of days. Can anyone help?

I've had my share of headaches with Acer BIOS issues. When this happens, one method that usually works is to clear the CMOS data. You can do this by unplugging the charger and both the main battery and the coin cell battery. Wait a minute before plugging them back in. It might take a moment to start up again, but I've seen this work.

I hear you! But I'm hesitant to open the laptop and void my warranty. I read in the manual that there's a hole on the back that lets you emulate unplugging the battery. Would that be enough?
