Help! My ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi Motherboard Won’t Connect to WiFi

I've got an ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi motherboard, and it was working great for about a year. Suddenly, it just stopped connecting to WiFi out of the blue. I've tried a bunch of troubleshooting steps and checked the settings, but nothing seems to work. I'm wondering if this could be a hardware issue since the WiFi is built right into the motherboard. Does anyone have suggestions for fixing potential hardware issues? Also, if there are any software solutions that might work, I'm open to those too!

If the driver isn't appearing in Device Manager at all, that's concerning. You’re right that the WiFi is integrated, so reseating a card won't help. If possible, try resetting your BIOS to default settings to see if that helps recognize the WiFi again. It's a pain, but it could save you money on a replacement!

First off, have you tried reinstalling the WiFi drivers? Sometimes that fixes connection problems. If it turns out that the integrated WiFi is dead, you might need to look into buying a separate WiFi card to get back online.

Just to check, is your Bluetooth still functional? Sometimes, if Bluetooth isn't working either, it can hint at a deeper problem with the motherboard's network capabilities.
