Help! My Chipset Heatsink is Blocking My GPU from Fitting in the x16 Slot

Hey everyone! I'm building my first PC and ran into a bit of a snag while trying to install my GPU. I initially thought my CPU cooler was the culprit, but I've figured out that the chipset heatsink is actually making contact with the side of my GPU, preventing me from seating it properly in the x16 slot. The GPU works fine in the x4 slot, and I'm currently installing Windows with it, but I'd really like to get it into the x16 slot. Here are my system specs:

- Motherboard: MSI PRO B650-A WIFI
- CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- CPU Cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
- GPU: Inno3D X3 OC RTX 5070 Ti
- RAM: Goodram 2x16GB DDR5 6000 CL30
- Storage: Kioxia Exceria Plus G4
- PSU: Cougar Uniface 850W 80+ Gold

Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like you're dealing with a chipset heatsink issue. Is it an aftermarket heatsink or the stock one? My buddy has the same motherboard but with a different GPU, and he didn't have any problems with the fitment. Maybe double-check the installation on your end.

It's actually the stock heatsink causing the problem. Just confirmed it!

That's odd! Normally, the chipset heatsink is designed to fit under the GPU without any issues. Can you share some pictures of the setup? It'll help to diagnose what's going wrong here.
