Help! My Chromebook’s Touchscreen Isn’t Working After Installing Ubuntu

I recently installed Ubuntu on my Chromebook after enabling USB booting with the RW_LEGACY firmware. I can run multiple distros, including Ubuntu and Arch, and everything seems to work great—except for the touchscreen, which just doesn't respond at all. Any tips on how to fix this?

You might want to consider that the issue could be related to Ubuntu itself. A lot of folks have had better luck with Pop!_OS on Chromebooks; maybe give that a shot!

Funnily enough, I tried Pop!_OS first but it didn’t work out either!

You might want to switch to the full UEFI ROM. It completely removes ChromeOS, which can give you better compatibility with various Linux distros. Check out the guide on MrChromebox's site for more details on how to do this!

I need to keep ChromeOS for a school app, so I went with RW_LEGACY instead. I'm dual-booting it because they had me install an Android app for tablets, and I figured I'd just run it on my Chromebook since I don't have a tablet.
