I'm in a really tough spot right now and I could use some help. My computer started having audio issues while I was gaming, so I updated the drivers, but then it got stuck on a BitLocker recovery screen after a restart. I never set up BitLocker or linked it to my Microsoft account, and I don't have a USB with a recovery key on it either. I don't know what to do! I just want to access my computer again, but I feel completely lost and scared. Can anyone guide me on how to get back in?

Okay, first off, don’t panic—it’s possible that BitLocker was activated without you knowing it. You might be able to find your recovery key by logging into your Microsoft account online. Just check here: https://account.microsoft.com/devices/recoverykey. If you're unable to figure it out, some people recommend just reinstalling Windows altogether since you're currently stuck at that BitLocker screen. Just remember to back up any important files next time!
If you set up your computer with a Microsoft account, you can try that recovery key process I mentioned. If you didn’t—yeah, that’s tricky. Unfortunately, if you can’t access the recovery key, the safest option left might be to wipe the drive and start fresh. That said, it’s made to prevent unauthorized access, which is why it’s tough! Also, is this a work/school device or just your personal gaming rig?
It's my personal computer, bought specifically for gaming!

That's helpful advice! But what if they didn't set it up with a Microsoft account?
