I'm having a frustrating issue with my computer—I can't seem to log in at all. I'm stuck at the Home Screen, and my password box isn't showing up. To make things worse, my mouse cursor isn't visible either. I read that restarting my computer three times should normally prompt an option to boot into safe mode, but instead, it just flashes the MSI logo and takes me right back to the same screen. I've already tried Ctrl + Alt + Del and tapping F8 during reboot, but nothing is happening. I've spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot this morning, and I really need help figuring out what to do next!

It sounds like you might need to force your computer into Automatic Repair. Try completely shutting it down three times in a row at the MSI logo; that should trigger the repair process. If that doesn’t work, you’ll need a Windows 10 or 11 bootable USB. From there, you can go into recovery mode and attempt a Startup Repair. If those options don't help, you can access the Command Prompt in recovery and run a couple of commands: 'chkdsk /f /r C:' and 'sfc /scannow'. These should help in fixing any corrupted system files that could be causing the login issue.

The three restarts don't seem to bring anything up for me, though. If I need to get a bootable USB, is that something I have to buy, or can I make one myself? And about the Command Prompt in recovery, how do I get there if my screen is still stuck?
