Help! My Computer Won’t Boot After Enabling Secure Boot on Windows 11

I've been encountering the BSOD error related to vgk.sys (system service exception) on my computer, and in an attempt to fix it myself, I followed the instructions from Riot's tech support to enable secure boot. However, now my computer gets stuck on the logo screen and won't load. I'm not very tech-savvy and realize I've messed up. Should I take it to a repair shop or is there a chance I can fix this myself?

Also, always make sure to back up your data before making major changes like BIOS settings. It can save you a lot of headaches in the future!

It might help to boot into Safe Mode first, if you can. From there, check for any dump files located in C:WindowsMinidump. Those files can give you essential clues about what's causing the BSOD. You can zip them up and upload to a file-sharing site like Mediafire or Catbox.moe. If you don't see any dump files, there are guides online to change your settings to enable small memory dumps so you can gather more data.

Before you panic, you might want to try disabling secure boot first. You can usually do this by rebooting and entering the BIOS setup. Look for the instructions on how to access the BIOS on the splash screen—it might say something like "Press Del to enter setup." If you can't figure it out, the manual for your motherboard should help. Just a heads-up: you'll need to be quick; if you see the Windows logo, it's too late and you'll have to reboot and try again.

You might want to consider taking it to a repair shop if you're feeling stuck. Sometimes, troubleshooting these issues can be a bit over our heads, and getting professional help can save you time and potential data loss.

If you can access the BIOS, you should definitely try disabling secure boot to see if that helps. Just remember to be quick when you boot up; the option vanishes once the Windows logo appears.
